ClearVue introduced an extended product range to offer a complete solar building envelope solution. It allows to generate electricity from nearly all facade surfaces including windows and curtain walls, wall cladding and spandrel gaps, skylights, balustrades and railings. The complete solar building envelope solution was shown to the public for the first time at AIA24 in Washington, DC in June 2024.
Watch this video to get an insight into what a full building envelope solution can achieve.
We have expanded our collateral to include the updated website, an independent analysis of the building's energy performance with ClearVue BIPV products applied (across 15 locations around the world), and an independent Tax Incentives report for the US-based clients.
ClearVue has achieved critical certifications for its products, ensuring compliance with international building codes and regulations. These certifications for ClearVue’s Generation 2 vision glass include: - Insulating Glazing Certification Council (IGCC) - seal certification; - EN13501-1 - combustibility with rating confirmed to an industry leading rating of A2-s1, d0; - IEC 61730 - electrical, heat, fire and seal; and - IEC 61215 - electrical and seal.
On the 1st of August, we entered the Middle East construction market through a strategic partnership with Alutec WLL, Qatar’s largest glass and façade manufacturer. This partnership will bring ClearVue’s innovative solar glazing technology to key markets in Qatar, UAE, Saudi Arabia, and India, supporting sustainable building practices and energy efficiency. The combined construction sector in Saudi Arabia, UAE, and Qatar is projected to reach US$240 billion by 2029.

- In June 2024, the ARC funded a new RMIT-led research centre to to develop new energy efficient methods and practices for protected cropping; the Centre will also test solar photovoltaic windows in greenhouses, engaging ClearVue as one of the partners. Early results from Murdoch’s solar greenhouse show promising crop yield increases which are now in repeatability testing in the new (spring 2024) grow season.
- ClearVue’s collaboration with Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory has led to new data entries in the International Glazing Data Base, detailing the optical and thermal properties of ClearVue’s latest PVB interlayer types for global evaluation using LBL’s WINDOW 7.8 software (available in October 2024).
- ClearVue is collaborating with multiple universities and Melbourne Safety Glass on ARC-funded research to develop advanced quantum dot fluorescent materials and improve solar window performance, with new grant applications and publications underway.
ClearVue hosted an open house on 17 June 2024 for the opening of its North American headquarters in San José, California.
San José Mayor, Matt Mahan, joined ClearVue at the event for a ribbon cutting.
With San José being ranked the sixth greenest city in the U.S. in 2023 and the city’s Climate Smart San José initiative, in addition to Mayor Mahan’s commitment to electrification through renewable energy, this marks an important step in support of the city’s climate goals.
