OptiCrop is open for business
Our subsidiary OptiCrop is now fully set up and open for business. OptiCrop focuses on agricultural technology applications including irrigation by condensation, cooling/heating fertigation systems which increase crop yields, and ClearVue solar glass for greenhouses.
OptiCrop hit the ground running and secured its first commercial sale – a ground-source heat exchange installation for a 1-acre greenhouse project, valued at A$80,000, in partnership with a global leader in presicion irrigation.
ClearVue is progressing with multiple research projects to enhance our proprietary technologies and increase energy generation without compromising visual clarity of the glass.
With the University of Melbourne we integrated various optical materials into our active PVB, and we kicked off our work with Macquarie University—supported by an ARC Linkage grant—focused on quantum dots.
In parallel, our research greenhouse at Murdoch University has been upgraded with advanced automation systems ahead of the next growing season commencing in July.
Windows are no longer passive building elements—they're rapidly evolving into active, intelligent systems.
